Safety Boss at the G-8 Summit
|
|
When world leaders met in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies, Safety Boss was there in force providing firefighting and decontamination equipment. During the time the leaders were there the crews were on a 24 hour coverage.
The spectacular Kananaskis area, which is approximately 100 Km (60 miles) west of Calgary, was the primary home of the 1988 Winter Olympics. The Kananaskis Village, where the Summit was held was built for that event.
The four Safety Boss units, two Smokey fire trucks and two decon (decontamination) trucks, in front of the Kananaskis Lodge. Mount Kidd is in the background.
The Safety Boss crew, in the black coveralls in front of the units and the end of the summit.
The Canadian Forces guys that were on bush/ perimeter patrol during the event.
