Safety Boss is a recognized leader in waterjet cleaning and cutting. Our Jet-Edge equipment has been used worldwide to handle numerous cleaning and cutting challenges. This equipment was utilized by our teams in extinguishing raging oil fires in Kuwait after the Gulf War. Allowing for the safe removal of damaged well heads for the installation of blowout preventers.
Using a Permalign cutting head, 36,000 psi and garnet as an abrasive, cutting time is significantly reduced without generating heat that could reignite volatile hydrocarbon vapors.
These units work on virtually any material including reinforced concrete and plated steel. Hydrodemolition is precisely controllable by removing material to specified depths while cleaning rust and scale from rebar leaving the surface ready for successful restoration. Hydrodemolition only removes unsound material unlike impact tools that may cause vibration damage.
Porta-Lathe System

The Safety Boss Porta-Lathe system is particularly effective when hydrocarbons are present since it operates without heat or flame. The equipment is able to cut pipe from 3' to 13' and pipe ends can be beveled to allow for a fast fit up for welding.
Porta-Lathe units clamp around the pipe and a pneumatic orbit motor powers the cutting tool that cuts the pipe. The orbit motor is powered by an air compressor that can be positioned in a hydrocarbon-free (safe) area.
The complete package including an air compressor can be quickly mobilized to any location.
